Holy Family Pastorate is a group of Catholic parishes in Northeast South Dakota served by our Pastor, Fr. Tom Hartman, and our Associate Pastor, Fr. John Helmueller. The celebration of the sacraments is key to our identity and growth. You will find many opportunities in our parish to explore the faith, serve others, grow in your relationship with Christ, be a witness to others, celebrate together, and support one another. We are committed to building a culture of lifelong Catholic missionary discipleship through God’s love.

Registration forms are available in our parish entry areas, parish offices, and online here. You can drop our registration  in the collection basket at any of our parishes, or bring it to a parish office. You can also call the parish closest to you or stop by to fill out a form.


Looking for ways to serve/learn?

Our parishes have many ways to serve including

  • Gospel in Action Committees (St. Lawrence)
  • Lector
  • Eucharistic Minister
  • Choir/music
  • Usher
  • Communion to the sick/homebound
  • Helping organize parish events
  • Serving on a finance committee or other parish committees

If you are looking for opportunities to study and pray with our communities, check out our Adult Formation or our bulletin for more details on our liturgy schedule, and our study and prayer groups. We have religious education for students on Wednesday evenings at St. Lawrence in Milbank and St. Mary's in Clear Lake. Both Milbank and Clear Lake also have active youth groups and a pastorate young adult group meets every Thursday at St. Lawrence. We look forward to welcoming you!
