Come let us
adore Him
“Eucharistic Adoration is an invaluable conversation with Christ where we learn more deeply of the mysteries of His Divine and human life.”
~St. John Paul II
Eucharistic adoration is available whenever St. Lawrence is open (usually 7 am - 7 pm). The Guadalupe Chapel has a special exposition tabernacle where individuals or small groups can adore Christ in the Eucharist.
We also have adoration in St. Lawrence church on Fridays after the 8:30 am Mass until 1 pm. Sign up for a weekly time with Our Lord.
New to adoration? Think of spending time with Jesus as spending time with a friend; you don't need an agenda! But here are some ideas to help make your time in adoration fruitful from Ascension Press.
There are bibles in the chapel as well as a selection of devotional books in our lending library outside the chapel.
Been away? Top 4 reasons
to return to the Church & the sacraments
1
The Eucharist
Many people return to the church because they experience a longing for the Eucharist. Experiencing a return to the sacraments is a source of great joy for our brothers and sisters in Christ, who, for many reasons have fallen away from practicing their faith.
2
Community
Catholics come together at Mass, in the sacraments and in parish activities to pray, to celebrate joys, to mourn losses, to serve others, to provide support and to receive strength for daily life. A Catholic parish offers all of this -- and much more -- to people who recognize the importance of walking with others toward union with God.
3
Fullness of Truth
Because the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth and grace. The Catholic Church was not founded by a single reformer or historical movement. It is not fragmented by individual interpretation of Scripture. There are thousands of Christian denominations, but only one Catholic Church, which has been guided and protected by the Holy Spirit from generation to generation for some 2,000 years.
4
Healing
Many people carry deep spiritual wounds. They struggle with anger at God over bad things -- a terminal illness, a debilitating injury, a broken relationship, mental or emotional problems, acts of violence the death of a loved one or some other deep disappointment. They may struggle to forgive. The Church cannot change these situations or explain why they happened. But we can help accompany you in your pain, and help you know that Christ accompanies you with your crosses. And the graces of the sacraments, especially confession, are powerful means towards healing.
